The Orange Margarita
When Friday Happy Hour hits at home, you know, because of isolation, nothing gets the party started like a batch of Orange Margaritas. They are super refreshing and guaranteed to start the weekend off just the way you deserve, right! Below is my recipe for one of my favorite cocktails. ENJOY!

yield: 1 DRINK
prep time: 10 MINUTES
total time: 10 MINUTES
Tools Needed:
Shaker
Stirrer
Hand Juicer
Shot Glass
Serving Glass
Ingredients:
3 oz. fresh-squeezed orange juice
3 oz. silver or blanco 100% agave tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
1/4 to 1/2 oz. simple syrup, depending on how sweet you want it
Optional additions:
I use Chili Lime Seasoning Blend from Trader Joes to line the rim instead of traditional salt.
Also, for those of you who enjoy spicy margaritas. This is amazing with jalapeños. Take 2 slices of a jalapeño and let them soak in the tequila before adding. I soak mine for about 5-10 minutes as I enjoy it really spicy. Adjust according to your preference.
Instructions:
Add tequila to your shaker. (If adding jalapeños, make sure you do this first. Remove both seeds and ribs from jalapeño before adding to tequila. Remove jalapeños before adding other ingredients.
Squeeze the juice from both Oranges and Limes, as much as you can into the shaker.
Add Cointreau and simple syrup.
Add a few ice cubes to your shaker to cool it down a bit before pouring.
Stir well.
Grab your drinking vessel of choice, rub a slice of lime along the rim of the glass. Generously dab your glass into the Chili Lime seasoning, or salt.
Add your preference of ice to your glass.
Pour margarita over ice. Dress it up with a lime and orange slice.
ENJOY!
